Valuable oscilloscope and data logger:

We use the ICP-12A in our company as data logger and oscilloscope.

The advantages are:
- the log files can be as large as you want, thus you can measure e.g. voltage changes for months
- it comes with the useful control program SmartDAQ for Windows so that you can just start measuring
- it is cheap compared to other data logger and oscilloscope boards
- you can get part of the Visual Basic source code of SmartDAQ to extend it to your needs
- the support from PICcircuit is good

The disadvantages are:
- There is absolutely no documentation yet, not for the SmartDAQ software nor at least a simple table with the serial commands to start and read out measurements (you will get the latter by asking the PICcircuit support)
- one board had a loose contact on the USB mini port (so it is an advantage that the board offers 2 USB ports)
- there is not yet a case available to put in the board.
